Why You Should Move to Journal Square, New Jersey
New York is always going to be there.
Sure, New York is a cool place, but that doesn't translate into being an incredible place to live. The good news is that you don't have to put up with your living situation. You can live somewhere incredible like Journal Square or other places in New Jersey and still have the option of going to New York whenever you feel like it. That can be nice, especially with Covid-19 going on-- you don't feel that you're locked into the city with everyone.
It's kind of like that loud outgoing friend you have that you can hang out with sometimes but don't want to be around all of the time because it's just too much. By moving to New Jersey, you get all of the benefits of a more affordable and less stressful way of life, among others, and you also get New York along with it too. Only this time, you can see it whenever you want. You can still soak up the city without having to live in it-- or pay overpriced rent.
Beautiful MRK Journal Square apartment buildings are adjacent to everything.
People act like New York is the only place that anything can be done. Well, news flash, the rest of the country has been managing to run its own clothing stores, restaurants, and more on its own without any help. While city slickers would be quick to convince you that New York City is the only place to go to get your nails done or see a movie, those of us more attuned with reality know that there are other places and better apartment rentals available that are adjacent to convenient and desirable locations as well.
The MRK Journal Square apartment buildings are close to fantastic restaurants, great shopping, and your local gym and pharmacy. The fact of the matter is that this area is more convenient, despite the long-running propaganda in place that New York City is the most convenient place in the world and you can get everything you want with a click of your fingers. It simply does not work that way, and while you can get many things delivered, delivery, unfortunately, has yet to be instantaneous or work differently or more efficiently than in other parts of the country.
Downtown Jersey City is a center of commerce with plenty of attractions.
There's plenty to do in downtown Jersey City! Fresh and fun, besides incredible apartment rentals, this center of commerce has all of the attractions that anyone could want. Just walking around downtown you can see plenty of historic buildings, along with institutions that include Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The MRK Journal Square also has plenty of restaurants if you're looking for a bite to eat. Check out Ozu Foods if you're in the mood for some fine Japanese cuisine or craving a bento box. Latham House will give you a cozy dinner out, Matthews Food and Drink has great American entrees and cocktails, Cellar 335 offers global dining and fantastic cocktails, grab some burgers at Left Bank Burger Bar, or get your charcuterie on at Satis Bistro.
If you're single, these are some great restaurants to check out, but you may prefer something more romantic for dating. Fire & Oak Jersey City is a great first-date spot, and Battello offers up sensual modern Italian with a menu that features seafood (maybe order oysters?). DOMO DOMO Jersey City is also a great sushi place to check out, and Taqueria Downtown, Porto Leggero, and Razza pizzeria are all great date-night venues to meet up with someone and see if sparks fly.
There are also plenty of activities to meet up in the area. Meet up with a friend or two to enjoy some socially-distanced fun. You can check out the Puzzle Out Escape Room if you're looking to have some sleuthing fun. There's also the Liberty Science Center, J.Owen Grundy Park for walking or a picnic, the Liberty State Park with tons to do and great nature views, the Kidz Village of Jersey City, HudsonPLAY, the Newport Green Park, Van Vorst Park, Urban Paddle Kayak Tours & Rentals for some outdoor paddling fun, the Loew's Jersey Theatre, and so much more. There are plenty of fun things to do here and often so many that many people who reside here don't miss living in Manhattan at all!
The public transportation system is preferable to New York.
In New York, you have to leave earlier than you want to because everything takes more time than you want it to when it comes to transportation. You have to get to the subway, and once you do, the train isn't running on time. Or you try to take a taxi but you can't land one, and when you do get a taxi, you hit traffic. You order rideshare from your app, but it cancels on you. You take the bus, but it takes forever to get to your destination with all of the stops and other vehicles on the road.
New Jersey offers transportation that can get you where you need to go. Taxis and rideshares are easy to schedule and take to get about. There are buses and bicycle rental options available. You can walk, take your own bike, or even blade to areas close by. It also makes a commute to Midtown a breeze, as it should take around a half-hour flat, perfect for professionals that need to get into the city. Manhattan or Brooklyn are never going to be too far away to get to, which is good news. You can also take your own vehicle, a bus, or the subway. The MRK apartments are also just step’s away from the Journal Square PATH Station!
It's not only more affordable, but it's also family-friendly.
New Jersey is more affordable to live in as opposed to New York-- in almost every way. New Yorkers pay a fortune to live there in rent, and then another small fortune in taxes as well. That high tax load goes away in New Jersey, and you're not going to be worried about going broke from just buying a bottle of water or making your way to the grocery store and purchasing some staples. With Covid in the mix, even simple transportation and outings can feel not only expensive but risky as well. The population density is high, and living there can feel dangerous sometimes.
Homes and apartments to live in are also more affordable than the sky-high rates of the city. With safety, quality design, and secure surroundings, MRK Journal Square apartment buildings make a high quality of life easy for singles, couples, and families. There are also several quality public schools in Journal Square along with prestigious private schools for families that want options for where their children attend school.
With great views, a fantastic location, convenience to everything, and a family-friendly area, New Jersey might just be right for you. Are you ready to ditch the false promises of the city and find something that's more what you're looking for? Vibrant and the latest in sophisticated urban living, check out MRK Journal Square apartments today!
